Are your ski chairlift benches real chairlifts or are they replicas?

  • All of our benches are replicas but are designed to match the apprearance and aesthetic of real chairlifts. Replica benches provide several advantages over salvaged chairlifts such as lower weight, easier transport, and greater flexibility to exactly fit your space and design preferences.

Can I hang my bench or convert it to a swing?

  • At this time we do not recommend hanging our benches or converting them to swings. We are hoping to have a hanging/swinging version of our benches available for purchase in the near future.

Can I customize my order?

  • Yes! We can accommodate custom sizes, colors, artwork, ski/snowboard equipment, special mounting requirements, and other design requirements. Depending on current capacity and availability of materials, we may also be able to accommodate large orders, rush orders, or modification requests for high or commercial use. Custom orders may require additional labor and/or materials and may incur additional costs. Contact us for more information.

What delivery options are available and about how long will it take to receive my bench?

  • We offer free local pickup from our workshop in Morrison, Colorado. Local delivery within 50 miles of Morrison, Colorado is available for a fee as indicated at checkout. Delivery within the United States outside of the Denver, Colorado is also available as indicated at checkout.

  • Our benches are typically made to order. The timeframe for a bench to become ready to pickup or ship is based on our current workload and availability of materials but is typically about 2 to 4 weeks. Custom orders may require additional time, and delivery time is based on the delivery method selected. Estimated production and shipping timelines can be provided upon request. What care and maintenance do you recommend for your benches?

  • All of our benches are constructed to protect them from the effects of weather and sunlight. However, we recommend storing them indoors during extreme weather and performing periodic cleaning and maintenace such as periodic reapplication of outdoor sealants to extend the life of the Product.

Do you offer any warranties?

  • Each of our Products is a unique work of art and are sold on an “as is” and “as available” basis. See our Terms & Conditions for more information.

What do I do if I need to cancel, return a Product, or the Product arrives with a defect?

  • We hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase but please contact us if your Product arrives with a defect or you need to make a return or exchange. See our Return & Refund Policy for more information.

What kinds of design services do you offer?

We offer professional civil engineering design consulting and planning services as described elsewhere on our website. The specific details, deliverables, and fees for any project are defined in a separate Service Agreement or Statement of Work (SOW).

How do I start a design project with First Chair Design Company?
